Aim of NCC
The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship,
discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure
and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating
a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in
all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they
choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to
motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.
MOTTO of NCC
The need for having motto for the Corps was discussed
in the 11th Central Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting held on 11 Aug 1978. The
mottos suggested were
ü “Duty and Discipline”;
ü “Duty, Unity and Discipline”;
ü “Duty and Unity”;
ü “Unity and Discipline”.
The final
decision for selection of “Unity and Discipline” as motto for the NCC was taken
in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.
The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously
evolving organization. Its activity is guided by certain Core Values that we endeavour to instill among all ranks of the NCC. These
include the following:
Ø A sense of patriotic commitment to encourage cadets to
contribute to national development.
Ø Respect for diversities in religion, language,
culture, ethnicity, life style and habitat to instill a sense of National unity
and social cohesion.
Ø Abiding commitment to learn and adhere to the norms
and values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
Ø Understanding the value of a just and impartial
exercise of authority.
Ø Ability to participate in community development and
other social programme.
Ø A healthy life style free of substance abuse and other
unhealthy practices.
Ø Sensitivity to the needs of poor and socially disadvantaged
fellow citizens.
Ø Inculcating habits of restraint and self-awareness.
Ø Understanding the values of honesty, truthfulness,
self-sacrifice, perseverance and hard work.
Ø Respect for knowledge, wisdom and power of ideas.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) has enormous potential
for nation building. The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country
for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication,
Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful
citizens. Girls and Boys of Class 8 to 10 are encouraged to enroll for NCC and
the training sessions are conducted at AECS#4,Rawatbhata, who will serve the
Nation AECS No:4, is connected to the 14 Raj Battalion NCC Kota. It inducts
cadets into the Army Wing as well as the Air Wing. A total of 100 boys and
girls are part of the NCC in school. They are trained by Shri
D.R.Gocher, TGT,Art,
and caretaker Officer.
Two cadets of the NCC Army Wing were adjudged as the
Best Cadets and were awarded by the Army Welfare Society. Similarly, two cadets
received Best Cadet Award at 14 Raj Battalion Kota Rajasthan under Level One, Cadet TanishkaTyagi of XA and Cadet Manvendra
Singh of XB.This
award is conferred on NCC cadets who excel in academics.
Every year NCC Cadet Welfare Society shortlists 1000
NCC cadets who are given a scholarship based on their academic performance. This
year two cadets, Cadet Manvendra Singh of XB and
Cadet Shiven Gupta of XA of the army wing of
AECS No:4 were selected and earned a scholarship of Rs 6000/- each.
